LESSON 3: CREATION OF MANKIND AND THE PROPHET'S CALL

1. Allah (S.W.T) has created Mankind to remain united in its duty to obey and worship Allah, and Allah, only.

Allah (S.W.T) says :

I created the jinn and men only that they might worship Me.

Allah (S.W.T) appointed Adam (P.B.U.H) as His first Prophet, and Muhammed (peace be upon him) as His last Prophet. They and all other Prophets in between, appointed by ALLAH (S.W.T) for the guidance of Mankind, brought the same message : i.e., All men must obey and worship the one and only God, “Allah”, who created them all, and not to worship others, who were, themselves, created. He, the creator, is alone worthy of worship.

ALLAH (S.W.T) says :

For we assuredly sent amongst every People (Nation) a messenger, (with the command), “Serve Allah and eschew Evil” Of the people were some whom Allah guided, and some on whom Error became inevitably (established). So travel through the earth, and see what was the end of those who denied (the Truth). (16 : 36)

All Prophets and Messengers were devout persons. They always proclaimed to their people to worship Allah (S.W.T) only, and struggled against those who worshipped others, be they men or things or angels. For worthy of worship can only be the creator, and not hose who were themselves created.

ALLAH (S.W.T) says :

“The religion before Allah is Islam (submission to His Will): Nor did the People of the Book dissent there from except through envy of each other, after knowledge had come to them. But if any deny the Allah’s signs, Allah is swift in calling to account.” (3 : 19)

4. The common (theme) in all Books is Tauheed [1] (one-ness), the message of all Prophets is “the One-ness of Allah”. This is proof that Allah our Creator holds Islam dearest as the only true religion. Also that Islam is not a new religion, but it has existed since the creation of man.

The concept of “Tauheed”, Oneness of the God (Allah), is much liked by Allah (S.W.T). That is why He has created man for worshipping Him alone, and all Prophets and Messengers preached to their people, “Worship the one and only God, Allah, our creator, and do not worship anyone else.”

Allah, the Almighty, says :

“We sent Noah to his people, He said: “O my people! Worship Allah! Ye have no other God but Him. I fear for you the Punishment of a dreadful Day.” (7 : 59)

Allah, the Magnificent says :

They do blaspheme who say: “Allah is Christ the son of Mary.” But said Christ: “O Children of Israel! Worship Allah, my Lord and your Lord.” Whoever joins other gods with Allah, Allah will forbid him the Garden, and the Fire will be his abode. There will for the wrongdoers be no one to help. (5 : 72)

Allah (S.W.T) also says :

“And we sent no messenger before thee but we inspired him, (saying): There is no God but I (Allah), so worship and serve me.”  (21 : 25)
